Chocolate Pie

4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa
dash of salt
1 small can evaporated milk

3/4 stick real butter
1 cup of milk
1 tsp. vanilla
9" unbaked pie shell

Mix 3 egg yolks and 1 egg with sugar, flour, cocoa, salt and evaporated milk in that order in a bowl and set aside.
Put butter and milk in a sauce pan and heat until butter is melted. Add to egg mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into 9" unbaked pie shell. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees or until firm. Remove from oven and add meringue, below:

Meringue

3 egg whites
dash of salt
6 Tbs. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg whites adding salt and sugar gradually until stiff peaks form, then add vanilla. Put on hot pie and bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees or until brown.
